How we make it.
Every Plaspeau product carries a recovery molecule your body already makes on its own — nitric oxide (NO). To generate it, we use a plasma-based method developed at POSTECH. Here is what that means in plain terms.
The molecule — nitric oxide (NO)
Nitric oxide is a small signaling molecule the human body produces on its own. Its role in vascular signaling and cell-to-cell communication earned the 1998 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (Furchgott, Ignarro, Murad). Plaspeau uses this molecule as the active ingredient in every product.
The method — plasma
We license (patent transfer in progress) a plasma-based NO generation method invented at POSTECH by Prof. Gunsu Yun's lab (KR application 10-2025-0126411). The method produces NO with no byproducts, no ozone, and ppm-precision concentration control. To be clear: plasma is the tool that generates the nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is what ends up in the bottle — not plasma.
Human clinical safety trials
All three Plaspeau prototype formulations tested at 자극지수 0.00 (non-irritating, excellent) on a 24-hour Finn Chamber patch test with 34 subjects (Human Clinical Trials Center, Seoul · IRB-approved · GCP + MFDS SOP · January 2026). A separate 20-subject efficacy trial showed significant improvements in hydration and elasticity after both first use and one week of use, with no adverse skin reactions reported.
Regulatory classification
Plaspeau products are classified as general cosmetics under Korean cosmetics law. We do not make functional-cosmetic claims (anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, redness reduction). Clinical research on these effects is ongoing; we will not include such language in brand communication until MFDS review is complete.
